RISE with SAP is SAP's bundled subscription that packages S/4HANA Cloud, cloud infrastructure, and managed technical operations into one contract with SAP. It is a commercial and operating model for moving to S/4HANA in the cloud under a shared-responsibility arrangement — not a separate product.
RISE with SAP is a single subscription that bundles several things SAP used to sell or leave to partners separately: the S/4HANA Cloud software (private or public edition), the underlying hyperscaler infrastructure, SAP-managed technical operations (the SAP-run portion of Basis, OS/DB, and hosting), plus tools for business-process redesign and analytics. The pitch is "one contract, one responsible party" for the move to cloud ERP.
The most important concept for buyers to understand is the shared-responsibility model. Under RISE, SAP takes over defined infrastructure and base technical operations, but the customer (and its partners) remain responsible for a large surface area: functional configuration, custom code and clean-core strategy, integrations, security roles and authorizations, cutover, testing, and change management. RISE reduces some infrastructure toil; it does not eliminate the need for architecture and delivery expertise.
